Once again ladies and gentlemen, I fail at this blogging thing. Grrr. And I'm not even going to make one of those empty promises that "I'll post everyday now! I promise!", because let's get real. I won't.
However, I do have a reason for writing today.
You know those little itches you get to do something random every once in a while? Like when you randomly get a seemingly divine inspiration to clean your room OCD style or something obscure like that, and you just can't shake the urge until you do it. I had one of those inspirations today. I was just browsing the internet and thinking about college and my future and such (because I am a senior now, you know...) and I realized how badly I want to write in college. I'm planning on double majoring in telecommunications and journalism. I was looking on our local newspaper's website and decided to do something kind of rash, which is totally not normal for me. I never just up and do something without taking days of thinking through it and asking about 13 different people for their opinion on the matter...but this time, I just did it. I contacted the editor of the paper and asked if they were looking for any teens to do writing or photography for the paper. Now I know this doesn't seem like a huge deal, but if this actually works out, it could open so many doors for me. So now, I wait. Which is something I'm definitely not very good at.
So cross your fingers for me, and in the meantime I'll just keep this little blog up and running to fulfill my little spurts of inspiration from the journalism gods.
